Franke Olympus Spout Guide

Franke Olympus Tap Spout Replacement Guide

If your Olympus tap spout needs replacing, this guide will help you identify the correct part and understand the upgrade from the older 3218R version to the current 3926R (SP3926). We also include installation tips, a video guide, FAQs, and photos of each Olympus model variation.

Which Olympus Tap Spout Do I Need?

The original spout supplied with most Franke Olympus taps was the 3218R (detailed close up picture below). Franke has since upgraded this to the 3926R (SP3926), which includes an extra small white PTFE ring for added spout stability. The newer version fits all the same models that took the 3218R— and is the only version now available.

  • Franke Olympus
  • Franke Olympus G (with coloured indicator rings on handles)
  • Franke Olympus S
  • Franke Basel (uses the same spout)

Installation Tips

This is a straightforward DIY job for most customers:

  • Use a 2.5mm Allen key to loosen the grub screw holding the spout.
  • Note: Some older taps use a 2mm grub screw. We supply both sizes if you order the 1425R O Ring Kit.
  • Remove the old spout by pulling it upwards.
  • Insert the new spout, ensuring the gap in the PTFE ring lines up with the grub screw hole.
  • Tighten with the Allen key.

FAQs – Franke Olympus Tap Spout

  • Can I install this Olympus tap spout myself? Yes, most customers can do this DIY with just an Allen key.
  • Does it suit all Olympus models? Yes — Olympus, Olympus G, Olympus S, and Basel. It does not fit Olympus Spring or Olympus Filterflow (due to different aerator).
  • Is the aerator and O-ring kit included? Yes — each spout includes the 1425R O Ring Kit and 1263R Aerator.
  • Is the grub screw included? Yes — a 2.5mm grub screw is supplied. We recommend keeping your old one just in case it uses a 2mm version.
  • Where is the grub screw located? Usually at the back of the tap base. Feel around — the hole is very small and hidden.
  • Is silicone grease included? No. You can pick this up at any builders’ merchant for fresh application.
  • What if I only need the O Ring Kit? You can buy the Olympus O Ring Kit separately.
