How to separate the brass bush from the valve (video)
Short DIY Video Plumbing Guide on how to separate the brass bush from the valve.
It can be common enough for the tap valve to appear different from the one in the picture (or the one you purchased) after removal. This is most likely because the brass bush is still attached.
The brass bush may be needed when fitting a new tap valve, especially if the existing bush cannot be separated from the old valve. However, if you can remove the valve without taking off the bush, or if the leak stops simply by replacing the valve, you can return the brass bush for a refund.
