SMR Valve 3547R (4276R)

This product SMR Valve 3547R (4276R) presents you with two options: The one threaded 3547R with a coloured Flat seal , like your own, or the 2 threaded 4276R (with a larger white seal) which is to be used where you have the earlier 3547R that has now been discontinued. More detailed explanation is below and we would advise that you read all the information below before purchasing to avoid purchasing the wrong valve. If in doubt, please email us sales@tapsandsinksonline.co.uk providing information on your own tap e.g. age, pictures of tap and valve and markings on your own Valve and we will happily assist you.

Here is our Guide 7 Easy Steps to replace Kitchen Tap Valve.

If your Tap is dripping where the Spout meets the Base you might need to replace the O Ring Kit.

Your valve options explained below, and we would recommend reading down to the bottom before buying, especially if you have the Maya Tap, Vesta Tap, Boise Tap, Planar Tap or the Hi-Tech 3407. In fact we have given links below to these specific taps as it is better to go to those taps own valve page as far more information there.

  • If you select 3547R, then you will get the one threaded version which should be same as your own.You should only buy this Valve if :
Your own Installation guide specifies this valve.
You have no Installation Guide and your own Valve has a date stamp of 2015 or later on it.
You have the Franke Vesta Tap – this particular tap you have to match like for like e.g. if your own Vesta Tap has a one threaded valve, you can only replace with a one threaded valve. Here is the Link to the Franke Vesta Tap Valve.
You have the Lamona Hi-Tech 2015 or younger  (if not sure of age, remove valve and check date stamp or buy the 4276R version .  Here is the link to the Lamona Hi-Tech Tap3407 Valve as more detailed information there.

Note: Exception: If you have the Maya Tap, Boise Tap, Planar Tap (unless you have the earlier Planar 20 Spline Valve) irrespective of the age of your own Tap, you need to buy the 4276R with white seal (see below).  Here is the link to the Maya Tap Valve.  Here is the link to the Boise Tap Valve. Here is the link to the Planar Tap Valve.  You will get more specific tap valve information under each of these links.

  • If you select 4276R, then you will get the two threaded version of your own valve with a white (larger) seal underneath to work more effectively in your own Tap (and in some cases, it is the ONLY option e.g. the earlier Hi-Tech or the Maya Tap (as just two examples). If your own Valve has a date stamp of 2014 or earlier, then we would recommend that you purchase the Valve 4276R with White Seal (Unless you have the Franke Vesta Tap – for this Tap, if you have the 3547R then you need to replace with the 3547R). By selecting this option, you will receive the 2 threaded version of your own valve, called 4276R with a larger white seal underneath. Some Taps, e.g. the earlier Lamona Hi-Tech, have a valve that looks exactly like the current 3547R but the earlier (now discontinued) 3547R valve has a larger seal underneath than the current 3547R (even though they look identical). If you have the earlier 3547R with the larger seal underneath, then you need a Valve with a larger seal than the current 3547R as this will be necessary to match your own Tap in order to stop your Tap dripping. It will look different from your own valve but will fit your Tap.

Please note, while this is a rarity, the odd customer, when fitting the 4276R valve with white seal underneath, where they have the Lamona Hi-Tech tap, reports a slight gap between handle and body of the tap. This is due to the larger white seal. This seal will flatten with use. We would still recommend fitting this valve 4276R if your tap is 2014 or older. If you wish to buy the 3547R and your tap continues to drip, we will not replace under 1 year warranty if your Tap is 2014 or older. Please retain your old valve as proof of age of your own Tap. The valve will have a date stamped on it.
