The Finley Square Kitchen Tap is is one of my current favourite style kitchen taps so this review will be short and sweet. Yes, I liked it so much that it’s in our kitchen.
P R O S
Style: Contemporary Kitchens, by their nature, tend to be minimal with lots of square edges. This square kitchen tap mirrors the square edge, but with a nice rounded finish so it won’t date.
Height: It’s tall, at 365mm but not one of our tallest (the San Marco Emporia or San Marco Elmira come in at 390mm, and the San Marco Elmira Pro Professional Style Kitchen Tap is a towering 563mm) but I think a tap in a contemporary kitchen should not be a shrinking violet. Your kitchen tap in a contemporary kitchen should be a focal point.
Spout Reach: 240mm
Price: £129 including VAT for the San Marco Finley Kitchen Tap in chrome (RRP £200) and represents a SAVING of £71.
Colour finish: Chrome or Brushed steel (brushed nickel). Read my blog on this ‘its all in the detail: chrome or brushed steel finish kitchen tap for your kitchen sink?’ if you are unsure about which colour finish to use. I went for the brushed nickel finish for my kitchen which you can see here in my blog. My kitchen has many square edges and a square styled undermount sink so I wanted a kitchen tap to pick up on that detail.
Flow / water pressure: This square kitchen tap is dual flow with 1/4 turn valves that are suitable for most water pressures (standard water pressures 0.3 bar and above). If you have issues with the hot water side of your kitchen tap then we would advise you to go for a tap that uses a compression valve. See blog on low hot water pressure from your kitchen tap if this is an issue.
Aerator: No high pressured back splash.
Spare Parts: We have been selling San Marco Taps for 25 years now and Zak in our Technical Department knows every one of our Kitchen Taps inside out. He has spindles and spare parts that I can’t even identify, which he guards like precious stones 🙂 This Kitchen Tap comes with a 2 year guarantee anyway, but we have supplied new spindles on taps older than 15 years which has given the Kitchen Tap a new lease of life (and saved on the cost of replacing it).
C O N S
There is honestly no cons that I can think of !
