San Marco Taps Spare Parts – Genuine Valves, Cartridges, Kits (UK)
Looking for San Marco taps spare parts? We supply only genuine replacement valves, cartridges, O-ring kits and other components — including the original San Marco ceramic disc valves still made to manufacturer specification. Whether your tap uses an SMR-stamped valve or one marked “San Marco 2006”, we’ll help you find the right part.
We are the only UK supplier of the original San Marco ceramic disc valves – still made for us by the same European factory that supplied the original parts. While many modern taps use SMR-stamped valves, some models require the earlier San Marco valve to stop a drip or achieve a proper seal. This is the valve still recommended by San Marco themselves for those specific tap configurations.
What Do the Stamps Mean?
“San Marco” with a date like 2006 or 2008: This indicates the manufacturer and the production year of the valve — not the model of your tap. We supply the same genuine part, still made to the original specification.
“SMR” stamped valves: These are modern ceramic valves made by San Marco. However, internal design changes in some tap models mean the current SMR version may not always seal properly. That’s why San Marco still recommends the original version we supply in certain cases.
For a more detailed explanation, see our SMR-stamped valve guide.
Why You Won’t Find This Valve Anywhere Else
- We work directly with the original manufacturer to supply this valve to San Marco specification
- These valves are only available through us in the UK
- Still recommended by San Marco when the SMR version doesn’t resolve a drip
- We supply only genuine, high-quality valves — never compatible copies
Not Sure What You Need?
Email sales@tapsandsinksonline.co.uk with:
- A photo of your kitchen tap
- A photo of the part or valve you’re replacing
We’ll identify the correct part and send you a direct link to the genuine replacement.

Why Genuine Matters
Choosing a genuine valve means a proper fit, reliable sealing, and long-term performance — especially in taps where small internal differences matter.
While some compatible valves may look similar, they’re often made with less brass or thinner seals. This can lead to:
- Poor fit or incorrect alignment
- Drips that persist after replacement
- Faster wear
- Voided warranties if non-approved parts are used
We supply valves made to the original specification — giving you peace of mind and a reliable repair.

FAQs – San Marco & SMR Tap Valves
What does “San Marco 2006” mean on my valve?
This refers to the production date of the valve, not the tap model. “San Marco” is the manufacturer. We stock this genuine valve — made to original specification.
My valve is stamped SMR — do I still need the San Marco version?
In some taps, yes. Even with an SMR stamp, San Marco recommend the original version we supply when the newer SMR valve doesn’t seal properly. We’ll help you check what your tap requires.
Are your valves genuine or compatible?
All our valves are 100% genuine and made to the manufacturer’s specification. We do not sell copy or compatible valves.
