Bristan Artisan Monobloc Tap Valve

Bristan Artisan Monobloc Tap Valve

This valve has been changed from a 28 spline to a 20 spline valve. We advise that you remove your own handle and check the spline count before ordering. Only order a valve here if your own tap valve conforms to measurements indicated here.

You might have the Bristan ‘easyfit’ version, in which case, even if your own valve has 20 splines, the valves here are not suitable for your own tap as the current Easy Fit version, while it takes a 20 spline valve, is a longer length valve than the valve measurements we have for the 20 spline and therefore will not be suitable.

Description

Bristan Artisan Monobloc Tap Valve

This valve has been changed from a 20 spline to a 28 spline valve.  If your Tap is c. 2009 or older, it might have 20 spline valve.  If your tap is more recent and has a 20 spline valve, then we do not have this later 20 spline valve (made by a different manufacturer).  We advise that you remove your own handle and check the spline count before ordering.

Valve Details 28 Spline Valve: This Valve has two sets of threads: One Set ABOVE the Black O Ring and One Set BELOW.
Nut Height: 8mm, Splines: 28, Overall height: 53mm, Diameter at thread: 21mm.  Your own valve might have red or blue seals underneath. We supply the original version with the slightly larger white seals in order to work in your tap irrespective of when your own Tap was manufactured (as this Tap was modified c. 2011).

Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?

To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer. Genuine Tap Parts means that the Parts have been tried and tested in your Tap model. It also guarantees that it will fit your own Tap correctly (provided that you have selected the correct replacement Part). We have had customers who fitted compatible parts in their taps and damaged other connecting parts in the process. It can work out more costly in the end to use Compatible parts.
