One thread means only one set of threads on the valve.

Avillion 2 Threaded Valve (Two sets of threads). Avillion is now part of Triflow / TCL
The Hot Valve opens Clockwise.
The Cold Valve opens Anti-Clockwise.

Difference between Genuine and Compatible ?
To maintain your warranty and the longevity of your Tap you should replace any parts with only Genuine Spare Parts. "Genuine" means that it is coming from the manufacturer of your own Tap. You might see the word 'Compatible' used on other websites. You might even see same Part Code BUT "Compatible" means that it does NOT come from your own Tap manufacturer.
