Franke Bridge Lever Kitchen Tap Valve

£14£28

Clear

Franke Bridge Lever Kitchen Tap Valve is a Quarter turn Tap Valves for Hot Water or Cold Water side of many UK Kitchen Taps and is the current valve.

Please read below before ordering any valves as to which valve to order as this tap works differently from your standard two lever tap due to the levers being horizontal when the valves are turned off (closed).

Older Installation Guides refer to Valve as 1427R. Newer Installation Guides refer to Valve as SP3561 – This is the SAME valve from the manufacturer. It's just a name change.

If your Tap is dripping from the Spout then you might need to change your Valves.  Here is our Guide 7 Easy Steps to replace Kitchen Tap Valve.

Please see here the Installation Guide for the Franke Bridge Lever Tap.
A Cold Valve opens Anti-clockwise (ACO) and a Hot Valve opens Clockwise (CO).
A two lever tap usually has two valves known as ‘Hot’ (CO) and ‘Cold'(ACO).
The Cold (ACO) Valve can have a blue indicator underneath (but not always). Sometimes it can be white.
The Hot (CO) Valve can have a red indicator underneath (but not always). Sometimes it can be white.
BUT the Hot (CO) Valve USUALLY has a nick on every side of the nut to distinguish it from the Cold Valve of the same measurements / specifications.

If you need to replace the Valve for the Cold Water Feed (on the right hand side) you will need to order a standard Hot Valve for the right hand side of your tap as you have to turn your lever Clockwise (towards the centre of the Tap) to turn on (open) the Valve i.e. Clockwise, which is a ‘Hot’ Valve. The reverse holds for the Hot Water side i.e a Valve that turns Anti-Clockwise i.e a ‘Cold’ Valve. This is as per the Installation Guide excerpt above.

Useful Tip

It can be a common enough problem that when you remove your  Valve it looks different than the valve in the picture. It is most likely because the brass bush is still attached.

1427R Valve and Brass Bush

1427R Valve and Brass Bush. The Valve should come out of Tap with no Brass Bush surrounding it. If the Brass Bush is stuck to the Valve and you can’t separate, then you will need to also replace the Brass Bush.

Here is the same Valve stuck inside the Brass Bush

For tips on how to separate a Valve from a Brass Bush, see here.

If the Valve is stuck inside the Brass Bush then you will have to separate them OR buy a Brass Bush as well (see You May Also Like section below)

If your Tap is dripping where the Spout meets the Base you might need to replace your Franke Bridge Lever Tap O Ring Kit 1506R
