Franke Olympus Valve Bush
Olympus Brass Bush:
We are explaining this part in detail as this is the part that often confuses customers.
-
- The Valve Bush part is a round piece of brass fitted around the valve.
- It is a separate part.
- Occasionally these two parts can come out stuck together and can be mistaken for one complete part.
- See below for images of the valve and the bush and what these two parts look like when stuck together.
- Ideally you would separate these two parts so that you could re-use the bush. For more information on removing the brass bush, see here.
- The Olympus Production dates from c. 2006 so there have been 3 different Franke Olympus Brass Bush. We stock two of them.
- We do not stock the very earliest one (thin lip / ridge at the bottom) in which case , all that we can recommend is that you try to separate in order to re-use. Here is close up detail of the old Franke Olympus Valve inside this Bush that we do NOT stock.
Here below are images of the two Franke Olympus Brass Bushes that we stock.
The ‘Bush with recess, 3868R’ is the most common one.
The Franke ‘Bush with lip 3886R’ was only used in one very early phase of the olympus tap.
If your own valve looks like this :
If your own Valve looks like this image below, then you need to order the SP3561 plus Brass Bush with lip SP3886
If your own Valve looks like this below – order SP3561 and SP3868 with recess. :
Here below is example of an Olympus Tap where the customer has removed Handle, Valve Cover and Valve. The Bush has remained in the Tap so this customer only needed to replace the Valve.
