Franke Olympus Valve Bush

Franke Olympus Brass Bush – What You Need to Know

The Franke Olympus tap has been in production since around 2000. During this time, three different brass bushes have been used. We currently stock two of them:

The brass bush surrounds the valve inside your tap. Most customers only need a replacement if the old bush is stuck to the valve and cannot be reused.

What if the Bush Comes Out with the Valve?

Usually, the valve slides out while the brass bush stays inside the tap. But if they come out together, you’ll need to separate them before fitting the new valve.

How to Separate a Stuck Bush from the Valve

  • Apply TT Oil to dissolve any limescale.
  • Use an adjustable spanner under the valve splines.
  • Clamp vice grips around the brass bush section.
  • Rotate tools in opposite directions to release.
