Franke Olympus U Tap Valve

£11£33 incl. VAT

Franke Olympus U Tap Valve if your Tap is dripping from the Spout. Fun code 133.0069.364 Cold, Fun code 133.0069.365   Part No. SP3561

This same part was listed in earlier installation guides from same manufacturer as 1427R and S1022 / S1023 please read carefully all the information below before ordering in case you have a really old Olympus with 20 spline valve or that you require a brass bush.  The Olympus U Tap has been modified over the years in production. Accordingly, we supply the genuine earlier version of this Valve [aka 4276R] as it comes with a larger white seal underneath.  The later version of this Tap Valve comes with a Red or Blue seal.  The White seal Version of this valve covers all tap modifications made to this Tap over the years in production and therefore will work in your Tap irrespective of when produced. Here is our Guide How to remove the Handle on your Kitchen Tap. Here is our Guide 7 easy steps to replace kitchen tap valve.

You only require the brass bush if the existing one cannot be removed from the valve that you are replacing.  Further information on the Franke Olympus Brass Bush can be found here.

Please See below for more information on this part and images showing the valve by itself, and also images of the same valve inside the brass bush.

Description

In some very rare instances we have come across an Olympus with 20 spline valve / 50mm tall , stamped San Marco Valve. You can remove your own handle and check the splines before ordering to eliminate ordering the wrong valve. In 99% of the Olympus, it is the 28 spline valve. There are images below showing the 20 spline and the 28 splines. If you need to order the 20 spline valve, this is old 1212R Valve and you can order this here.

Franke Olympus U Tap Valve listed as 1427R / SP1427 / 3561R / SP3561

It also suits the following Franke Olympus Taps:
Franke Olympus Tap
Franke Olympus S Tap
Franke Olympus Side Spray
Franke Olympus Filterflow Tap (which takes One 1427R H and One 1427R C for mains Cold and 1427R Cold for filtered Cold.

This Franke Olympus U Tap Valve has two sets of threads: One Set ABOVE the Black O Ring and One Set BELOW.
Nut Height: 8, Splines: 28, Overall height: 53mm, Diameter at thread: 21mm

Due to modifications in this Tap by the manufacturer over the years, we supply the original white sealed version of this valve (larger seal underneath). We use code 4276R to distinguish from later valve used in the Tap which has a coloured flatter seal. This is a genuine Spare Part. Parts are labelled Hot & Cold. If opened and you cannot tell apart, as both Hot & Cold Valves have white seals underneath: the Hot valve opens Clockwise and has nicks on the side of the nut. The Cold Valve opens Anticlockwise and has no nicks.

It DOES NOT SUIT
Franke Olympus Triflow & Franke Olympus Trispray.  These two Taps were discontinued Spring 2011 – and you can find the Valve for these Two earlier Taps  Here

Before ordering your replacement Franke Olympus U Valve (if you haven’t removed your own), you might require the Olympus Bush for Valve as well. This is a brass cylindrical piece that the valve sits into inside the Tap. Sometimes these parts stick together and when the Valve is removed, the Bush comes out as well. Should you also require a Brass Bush (one per valve), the same part number SP3868 is used on both Hot and Cold Valve.

It can be a common enough problem that when you remove your Olympus Valve it looks different than the valve in the picture. It is most likely because the Part SP3868 Bush for Valve has been removed alongside your Valve. The Part SP3868 Bush for Valve is a separate part, and does not come with the Valve. It has to be ordered separately.

If the Franke Olympus U Tap Valve is stuck inside the  Bush then you will have to separate them OR buy a  Bush as well.

For tips on how to separate a Valve from a  Bush, see here.

It is one bush per valve.

How to remove the handle to access Valve:
Remove the small grub screw which should be located on the underside of the Franke Olympus handle. You would need to use a small Allen key to do this.

If your Tap has handles like this with a colour indicator, your valve might look different (but SP3561 is compatible).
