Tap is leaking at the base

If your Tap is leaking at the base it is hopefully just a case of replacing the O Ring Kit

If your kitchen tap is leaking at the base, it is likely that the O-ring or the washer inside the tap has worn out or become damaged. This can happen over time due to regular use, mineral buildup, or exposure to harsh chemicals. Once you have access to the inside of the tap, you can inspect the O-ring and washer for damage.

If the O-ring or washer is damaged, you will need to replace it with a new one. Once you have replaced the damaged part, reassemble the tap and turn on the water supply. Check for any leaks and make sure the tap is working properly. If the leak persists, you may need to call a plumber to inspect the tap and make any necessary repairs.

In addition to a damaged O-ring or washer, a leak at the base of a kitchen tap could also be caused by corrosion or tiny pinholes in the spout itself. This can happen over time due to exposure to water, chemicals, or other environmental factors.

If you have inspected the O-ring and washer and they appear to be in good condition, you may need to check the spout for corrosion or pinholes. If you notice any damage, you will need to replace the spout with a new one.
