Description

Earlier Installation guides list 2552R Valve. Then in subsequent ones it is referred to as 1427R – This is the same valve as 2552R – just a name change (which we also code 4276R). This valve comes with a white seal underneath.

However, in 2014 the Franke Mythos Tap Valve was changed by manufacturer from the 1427R Valve to the SP3547. This is a different valve. Your installation guide will tell you exactly which part to order. However, if you don’t have your installation guide then please order the Earlier Valve, 2552R(4276R) as the seal in the later valve 3547R might not work if you have the earlier valve.

We cannot take responsibility for a dripping valve if you have the earlier valve and order the later one.

We have provided here measurements and images of both valves for reference if you don’t have your installation guide.  Please also see below regarding the Brass Bush Part when you remove your own valve.

Useful Tip

If your valve seems wider in diameter than the replacement valve you order, it is possible that the Brass Bush (Ring) that surrounds the valve inside your Tap has also come away with your Valve.
